STAFFING DEVELOPMENTS

The Niseko Company is proud to welcome 2 new members to our team which we see as integral to the development and continued success of our company.
Guy Champoux, Vice President of Marketing, joins The Niseko Company from Air Tahiti Nui as its Director of Sales and Marketing, North America. Guy has extensive networks of contacts within the travel industry and will use his wealth of experience over the past 30+ years to increase sales of The Niseko Company’s properties, particularly in the shoulder season where booking are traditionally difficult to come by in emerging markets.
Karen Tan, Sales and Marketing Co-ordinator, joins us from Sapporo and was previously a lawyer in Hong Kong. With extensive knowledge of Hong Kong, Karen brings to our company an avenue to the fastest growing market in Niseko and a very impressive contact list that is sure to increase our brand in the area.
The Niseko Company is also sad to see one of our own move on to, hopefully, bigger and better things. Dominique (Domi) Churiki will be missed by all the team here and we wish him, his wife Anita and his new baby girl Mana, all the best.

SPRING IN NISEKO - THE RAFTING SEASON BEGINS!

Spring has come to Niseko a little early this year, but the warmer weather and sun are a welcome sight for people who have spent the season here. Niseko's spring, summer, and fall are arguably as nice as winter and very popular with locals across the country. With a host of activities available including rafting, golf, hiking and scenic drives to name a few, the warmer months show off Hokkaido's famous natural beauty. This year with the G8 Summit casting a spotlight on the region the relatively quiet summer season is bound to pick up. Come over to Hokkaido this summer and enjoy a game of golf followed by a BBQ with delicious local cuisine and fresh Niseko air.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

From everyone here at The Niseko Company, wishing you all the success you desire in the coming year.

Thank you for all the support you have provided to our company over the past year and we look forward to seeing everyone in the resort this winter and again in the future.

The resort is metaphorically alive at the moment so this evening should be very much about celebrating the past and bringing in the new.

Good luck with all your New Year resolutions from all at The Niseko Company

RESORT OPERATION STATUS

All major lifts in the Grand Hirafu area are operational with only a couple of double chairs at the bottom of the resort and the 2 single chairs at the top suspended.

With an increase in visitor numbers each day, finding that elusive powder is becoming more difficult for those not inclined to rise early. As the days are quite short at the moment, the lifts are closing at 4.30pm but in Higashiyama and Annapuri, the Gondolas are closing at 3.30pm so access to Hirafu after that time is with the Niseko Passport Bus, free for ´All Mountain´ pass holders and 500 yen for others.

As night skiing is now operational, there is another 4 and a half hours with which everyone can enjoy the fantastic conditions in the resort using the Ace Family, Ace Quad 2 and Ace 3 to access almost top to bottom skiing.

TNC has moved offices

On the 26th November, The Niseko Company formally moved its office space to the former ´Ichimura´ Soba Restaurant to the left of the NAC. As we have continued to expand our team of dedicated individuals, the need to find larger office space became paramount to our operations. The new office space fits within our overall plan to make The Niseko Company the most identifiable company in the area. With main road signage coming into and out of Hirafu as well as increased parking facilities and one of the premier locations in resort, we are putting into place the necessary steps to increase our brand awareness in the area to continue to maintain our position at the top of the luxury accommodation market.
The new address is:
179-22 Aza Yamada,
Kutchan-cho, Abuta-gun,
Hokkaido. 044-0081.
Tel. (0136)21-7272
Fax. (0136)21-7274
