Car Rentals

As Hokkaido´s roads are well maintained and for the most part uncrowded, renting a vehicle is a great way to get to Niseko. The Niseko Company can arrange for a vehicle to be picked up from the airport, from Sapporo or elsewhere.

The Niseko Company does not recommend driving in winter for those who have no experience with driving in extreme winter conditions.

International Driving Permit Required

Japan recognizes only international driving permits which are based on the Geneva Convention of 1949 (as shown in the image on the left). Failure to produce the international driving permit at time of rental will result in cancellation of rental with no refund. If you are unsure if you hold the correct permit, please do not hesitate to contact us.
